I really want to start leveling another job, but it has some really tricky criteria to meet.
THF? Fails #2 and probably #1. Would require much Seeking for Party time I would assume.
BLM? I think this passes all 3 of my requirements, but I am a little shady on solo play. Also, being that ToAU is so popular, I have a feeling this would take me FOREVER to level
BLU? How exactly soloable is this job? Remember, I'm a BST, therefore everything solo I will end up comparing to BST.
PUP? Seriously. I know people say it sucks, but I get this feeling it might be in the top 2 of jobs that fit my criteria.
Okay, enough on that.
HNMLS NEWS:
Little late posting this, but our ls recently got it's 5 Novio Earring. Congrats to Naroom his Novio. He has been waiting a long time and I am glad to see him finally get it.

- Doesn't need to eat into hnmls time (guess this means no prime time job like WAR?)
- Needs to have the ability to solo some XP because of #1.
- Gear requirements to 60 aren't crazy (gil and storage).
- SMN(40)
- THF(52)
- BLM(37)
- BLU(37)
- PUP(9)

Finally, Bounding Boots: O

While bored out of my mind traveling, I decided to try out some FFXI through Remote Desktop. Running at about <5 fps in 256 color I still managed to bag 3 lizzys in about 2 hours and finally got drop. After that, I hoped on over to W.Saur to see if I could get myself a Pilgrim's Wand to use on level cap stuff. Watching movies got boring so why not spend the night camping the only NMs I can probably manage to kill through RD. And after about 1 hour of killing placeholders, Pilgrim's Wand: O

Was it worth the 40k IS I paid for it? Who cares. Perdu Hanger or Scythe were the only other two options I could remotely ever have a chance of using. I don't see the Scythe being of any use for BST considering we don't have any good WS, and my BLU is 37. Plus spending IS gives me a reason to force myself to do more Besieged and merit.
Now if I can only get Naja to hand over MY Glory Crown and her Morning Star. So I can pawn it for a Merc Kris. Oh well, maybe next week.

Last night I realized something, Mercurial Kris is probably one of the best weapons for RNG merit spam parties. Still not quite sure why so many THFs use this as it just seems like a poor offhand choice (delay wise) for them. As for RNG, I am thinking Trailer's Kukri and Merc Kris mixed with Hellfire+Silver Bullets seems the best way to go. Oh well, 5-6mil =p Keep dreaming huh?
As far as work goes, I hate it. Oncall, Oncall, Oncall. It's the story of my life. I know other people do it, but it seems like some people get the idea just because they seem me home at 2pm on a Wed, they think I have a "nice" job where i can work from home sometimes. If they only knew. I'd say I get called on average of about 4 nights out of 7 at around 1am to 4am. I run on 3-4 hours a sleep a night. I have to take my blackberry EVERYWHERE I go. I have to leave movies mid showing, bail on friends in the middle of dinner, and even miss holidays with my family. Probably the hardest part is when people approach me like I am greedy with my time when I am doing what I want to do when I can. If they only understood, 90% of the time I am dealing with work and trying to have a life at the same time. Anyways, blah blah

Long time, no update. Sorry!
Well the PSP dropped in price and that has me mildly interested in buying one now. My reason is pretty sad considering 1 of the 2 games I want, I can get on my DS anyways. The one I cannot is Valhalla Knights. Looks good I think. The other game is Puzzle Quest. No =p, not Progress Quest, Puzzle Quest. I tend to be one of those people that goes to buy something and then spends the next hour or more coming up with reasons why I shouldn't at the store until I finally leave not buying it. I guess that's a good thing, except for the fact I probably look like a complete crazy standing in the store debating things in my head.
Anyone have anything to say good or bad on a PSP?
On the FFXI side of the fence, I got a Vivian Ring. (still shocked) Thanks to the many people that came out to help and those that wished they could be there :)

Last night, I finally got another Yovra Organ for my 2nd gorget (Breeze Gorget for RNG). Thank you so much to
deadmeatffxi, Kitai, Talis, Casyndra, Myrna, Shaftoe for the help (most importantly for cleaning up the 3 spaces of room that have been eating up my MH for about 3 months). /cheer
Other good stuff this weekend included another King Behemoth kill for PanicMotion. Very cleanly executed with just 1 death (lolDRK). Eyloren and Vlashin landed themselves a Wyrmal Head, Vlashin also got Behemoths Tongue, and Penth finally got that Pixie Earring I know he has wanted for awhile.
We also did some farming on Ullikummi and whew... If you think just paying attention to one place holder was bad, now you get to be on the edge of claim 100% for everything that pops. Drop rate seems pretty terrible, but at least RMTs can't have as much of a hold on it as they did before. Didn't get a drop after two camps this weekend, but I feel a drop coming pretty soon. I'm ready to start seeing this line for haidates get a little shorter.
Other things: I am in the market for an Aristocrat's Coat. There is one in Batallia Downs for like 6 million but that is just too much. If anyone sees one around on Caitsith for 5-5.5 million, let me know.

Anyone else use it? I kinda like it. ITtunes and WMP are monsters. I found this the other day and I have to say it seems pretty solid for a still beta-ish release. In case you don't know what I'm talking about -> http://www.songbirdnest.com/

Also, incase you didn't notice, I found my avatar/icon. /stab My day is complete!

Ok, this is something that has been weighing on me pretty heavy over like the last six months and I still don't have a solution.
My problem: We have almost 24 people on the roster, and about 12-19 that show up for each run.
At first glance, it would seem great because that gives us the opportunity to do two runs at a time to get U/O chips faster while still maintaining a decent coin earning for those not interested in gear. But that is hardly the case. :(
It seems that every Monday and Thursday I show up and end up having to do everything (lately Myrna has been doing a lot of it and even now he feels the pain I am talking about). Limbus is very rewarding, and that being said, people should be willing to put forth the effort to make it as rewarding as possible for the group otherwise they shouldn't complain about the coin numbers or the speed at gaining U/O drops.
Many people show up late. I understand real world responsiblities, but when I see people doing things like Assault or HNMLS, it shows where the priorities lie. Not that there is anything wrong with that. Even myself does HNMLS stuff sometimes and can't attend limbus. I am not asking for people to give up having fun and being forced to do Limbus every week, but I am asking people to prioritize their needs. If other stuff is more important that showing up on time, PLEASE PLEASE do not pressure me like it is so important to focus on your needs and wants from limbus.
We need people to start showing up on time or early. I am about to start leaving at 9:15pm EST sharp on Mondays and 9:30pm EST sharp on Thursdays, NO EXCUSES. This isn't to be mean, but simply limit the time that Limbus is eating up that is should not. It's not right to make people stand around in Jueno for 1.5 hours while other people are doing and achieving other things and expect everyone else to just wait. Please don't take this personally if you get left in the future on this.
It is so much easier when I look at the attendance and I know "split" or "no split." But when I look and see 8 people at 9:00pm and say no split and then by 9:45 there are now 16 people and we need to split, it is too late. If I start spliting up the alliance now, it would be a solid 10:30pm or later before we really enter.
I don't want to get into a fight over this when I start talking about who shows up when, because some of those that showed up late for our last run are usually there early EVERY time. This completely sucks because I don't want to leave those people out, but I do have to considering the time and how much of it it is eating of everyone present.
I am very sorry if I pissed anyone off last night with my comments. Please don't feel singled out, because this is targetted at the whole group. I want to see you all succeed and have the gear you want from limbus, but I do need your help. Helping doing things like: forming up parties, working out the skillchains, deciding who pulls, jobs and subjobs will just speed things up tremedously. It leaves me the ability to work out what zones we are doing, taking attendance, figuring out coins, focusing in on who needs what in terms of AF+1, keeping track of our chips so we can do U/O runs efficiently, and looking for flaws in our execution so we can constantly improve and make this better for all of us.
Ok, I think I have talked enough. Very sorry for all this.

Well I got the update downloaded last night FINALLY (after 5.5 hours) =p It just amazes me at times how much I can accomplish when unable to play FFXI. Makes me think....hmm. Ok enough thinking about that.
So I logged in and found everyone here and there and everywhere trying out these new pop conditions. First things first however, so I headed to AkiSui (my 25 day old green chocobo) only to find her sick and pretty down. Fed her some grass, to which I cannot recall the name, and took her on some long walks out in K.Highlands. After that I partied up with some lsmates (WHM, WAR, WAR, NIN) and went to get some merits at Ulli area. No luck with pop item drop, but we did manage to work about 12k merits out of it in a little under an hour with 4 people.
Besides FFXI, life is pretty blah atm. It's the same old routine. I guess this is the same for everyone, but I do need to find something to do to increase my energy level. Maybe I should pick back up on the kenpo classes.
GG, Have a great day!!
